There was an article, posted here, that talked about parents dealing with young children, pre-school, that were demonstrating transgender activity - boys playing with dolls, wearing dresses and girls getting Mohawk haircuts, The article: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/12/fashion/new-challenge-for-parents-childrens-gender-roles.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1
Many parents were allowing their children to express themselves as the other gender with little bias. It is an interesting article. One quote was from a mother: “I don’t want my child to wait till she’s 43 to say, ‘Hi, here is who I really am." I am assuming her husband is a crossdresser. I think if my parents had allowed this I would have done hormone therapy and become a transexual girl. Will never know for sure. But I appreciate those girls that did 'transition' fully, in its many forms - pre-op, post-op, hormones - and living the gender life that they love. I would love to know your thoughts on transitioning.
hugs and kisses,
Bekka
